Desserts in Thailand – Luk Chup or Look Choop (Imitation Miniature Fruits) ?????????????????

Luk Chup or Look Choop is one of the most popular and colourful desserts in Thailand is made from greenbean and sugar. The mashed boiled beans??are shaped into miniature fruits?? to resemble mangoes, oranges, cherries etc ;coated with gelatine and?? painted ??with natural food colouring extracted from plants. At times, it requires a lot of patience and skill to perfect the art and the preparation process is very similar to the making of Peranakan’s Nonya kuey.

Because of my gout problem, I have to give this dessert a miss:-(
